In 2012, Kevin Burgess of Reach Records released an album titled "Weight & Glory." First track titled Weight Music. The build up of instruments to the hook... And what's being lifted up?
KB reference
"It feel like fire in me
Feelin light a fire indeed
Light up entire cities with the glory you got em trippin
I'm standing awe with me
All other alls are empty
Better make haste to the great taste to the great faith
Man don't know what y'all been missin, ha
When you can feel it
This is more than music
The weightiness of the Savior can bury it and consume it
Yeah that weight got a weight to it
Awaken you to God
That weight got a weight to it
Come and see a Man who died
And came alive
Jesus the Son of God
I'm on the dot He should be on the top of our little eyes
I'm talkin lookin I look to the book the book of life
And you can see glory
If it's boring you got crooked sight"
Chorus
Glory, All I see is you
Holy one, I love you
KB says that if we think this is boring we've got crooked sight because in here IS GLORY. That's my prayer for us tonight. Our eyes would see God as the book of life portrays Him. Let's leave the results to the Holy Spirit and trust that the text is capable of showing us what it honestly is teaching.
15 For thus says the One who is high and lifted up,
who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:
“I dwell in the high and holy place,
and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit,
to revive the spirit of the lowly,
and to revive the heart of the contrite.

"Who inhabits (eternity)"
"Who inhabits (eternity)"
NLT says "God LIVES in eternity." There has never been a time where God did not exist. Was not in control. Was not above and exalted. Who Created God? Where Did God Come From? A common argument from atheists and skeptics is that if all things need a cause, then God must also need a cause. The conclusion is that if God needed a cause, then God is not God (and if God is not God, then of course there is no God). This is a slightly more sophisticated form of the basic question “Who made God?” Everyone knows that something does not come from nothing. So, if God is a “something,” then He must have a cause, right? The question is tricky because it sneaks in the false assumption that God came from somewhere and then asks where that might be. The answer is that the question does not even make sense. It is like asking, “What does blue smell like?” Blue is not in the category of things that have a smell, so the question itself is flawed. In the same way, God is not in the category of things that are created or caused. God is uncaused and uncreated—He simply exists. How do we know this? We know that from nothing, nothing comes. So, if there were ever a time when there was absolutely nothing in existence, then nothing would have ever come into existence. But things do exist. Therefore, since there could never have been absolutely nothing, something had to have always been in existence. That ever-existing thing is what we call God. God is the uncaused Being that caused everything else to come into existence. God is the uncreated Creator who created the universe and everything in it. says "Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting." God has outlasted all kingdoms. Before Eden, was God's kingdom. Nothing has shaken God's kingdom. How do we know? Because the Gospel of Jesus is being preached right now! God is still reigning. God has been redeeming creation and will ultimately redeem at Jesus' 2nd return. Go to
Whose (name is Holy)"
Whose (name is Holy)"
Holy - I think the greatest of all attributes of God. EVERYTHING about God is Holy.
New Oxford American Dictionary - morally and spiritually excellent.
Heb and Aram. Lexicon of OT - commanding respect, awesome.
Enhanced Brown-Driver-Briggs Heb and Eng. Lexicon - separate from human infirmity, impurity, and sin.
SET APART.
Some Facts about God's name: AM has sent you. God's name was abbreviated for fear of saying it incorrectly! The pronunciation of YHWH is a scholarly guess. The meaning of God's name is unknown. There are all kinds of arguments favoring different sides, but no ultimate answer. Also the date and origin of God's name has been debated. I think God established this because we would QUICKLY disrespect and not revere him. EXAMPLE: Common phrases - "Oh my G..." Some use God's name to curse... "Oh G...." WHY do we do this? No respect. God's very name is so Holy and to be respected, God Himself keeps it that way. God's holiness commands respect! God is awesome! God is completely absent of impurity and sin! SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLE - Look what happens when we meet with God in his holiness... (God's holiness commanding reverence and respect!) Our response to God's holiness is always - "Woe is me!" The closer you draw to me, the more aware of my imperfection I get! This verse shows us that the name of God is different than everything else. "I dwell on a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit." The contrite and lowly is us. A few things I want to point out to you. God invites us to his holiness DESPITE our rebelliousness. . God came to us in his holiness. . Strive for personal holiness.
How can perfection meet with imperfection?
How can perfect love be unloved?
How can something so great be disregarded?
